We would like to thank all of the volunteers who ignored the radar and came out to support our participants.  You came together as a well-oiled volunteer machine at the Inaugural Williams Route 66 Quarter Marathon!

Over 150 volunteers from many companies, and organizations came forward to volunteer in partnership with their community and support the runners in this world class event. Events like this, in our own community, are fantastic ways to come together and show visitors what a great city Tulsa is! As a volunteer, you symbolize our community in such a powerful way at community events like the Williams Route 66 Quarter Marathon. We commend you for giving your time and energy. You were integral to the success of this event. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Remember that 2009 Williams Route 66 Marathon coming up in November and we need you to join us again! We need over 1,000 volunteers for this event. Bring your family and friends along to support your community again the weekend of  November 22nd!
